Imagine Your Body an Artistic Piece...!

With the passage of time, people appreciate the painting of the body. Then it becomes an art. It is the art of body painting. Body painting is approved as an actual art since 1960’s. The traditional kind of body painting is tattoo. It is an old type. It is used for religious purposes or as apart of rites of some cults. This practice is forbidden for some time. But now tattoo is no longer a taboo. It is a kind of art. Some interested artists of tattoo try to make tattoo a piece of art work. Body painting is practiced in the Eastern countries in the world. It is an apart of the tribal culture. In the old ages, Men paint their faces for religious purposes. For instance women and girls in India painted their bodies before the ceremonies of marriage. They make Henna tattoo, which called Mehndi. These paintings symbolize their fertility. This kind of body painting spreads in the western world. Also for several centuries, the clowns and the actors paint themselves. They paint their faces or their whole bodies with the bright colors. Painting is an important part of their artistic show. It serves the kind of art which they present.

In the times of the 1950’s some artists use a female model and roll her into the canvas paintings to reflect the paintings. The result is marvelous. People begin to accept the theories of liberty including the naked models. In 1960’s at the anti-war demonstrations young women paint their cheeks with peace symbol. Then the art of face painting spreads in many countries.

Today there is a continuous argument about the legality of body painting as a kind of art. Now there are many festivals of the body painting which attract the professional and the amateurs of this art. There is a huge festival in Austria. It is the World Body Painting Festival. There are more than 150 artists who challenge themselves to produce marvelous artifact. The models are painted in a sexual and a beautiful way. Body painting takes its place in the world of commerce. Many televisions and magazines expose the beautiful painted bodies. The artists of the body painting cooperate in making of some movies especially the fictious movies.

This practice is common during the fairs or in the public parks. Children and the teenagers paint their faces. There are many forms of face paintings such as the tiger, the spider, the butterfly, the cat, the clown and the cartoon characters. The materials which are used during the process of painting should be safe. It is necessary to have no toxic or allergic reactions. It is preferable to test the materials of paintings in small area of the skin before using it.

The space of body painting is very generous. It just needs creative minds and the people who love their bodies apart of art. It can spell some magic into the lookers to these beautiful bodies. It stirs the different emotions towards these masterpieces. Body paintings can add some warmness into the relationships between the lovers. It can changes the dump bodies into live ones. Body painting is simply the unity between human beings and the art itself.

Europe’s most colourful event

The World Bodypainting Festival. It’s an annual festival held in Seeboden, Austria, near the Millstatter See, on the third week of July every year. 25.000 visitors are expected in the upcoming world championships for bodypainters.

The World Bodypainting Festival is the largest artistic event of this kind and draws thousands of people every year. Artists from 40 nations - including Australia, North Korea, Canada, USA, Columbia, Argentina and South Africa-  will be coming to this impressive event. The festival is the best gallery in the world for artists to exhibit their bodyart work. The bodypainting will take place in the Klauber Park in Seeboden, where the unique surroundings of Lake Millstatt provide the appropriate impressionistic backdrop. The bodypainting work at the event is of a high artistic quality. The female - as well as the male bodies - are painted aesthetically, either to the given theme, or from an artistic

Amidst the breathtaking scenery in Austria, it’s a place where bodies are boldly put on show, and each artist has the opportunity to show his or her own specialties. The festival has an impressive array of highlights and a varied program in store for artists and models, photographers and video film makers, visitors, and indeed anyone interested in the body cult. The World Body Painting festival draws a crowd of 15,000 spectators, 250 models and more than 150 artisans each expressing their individual creativity. Award-winning artists from around the globe gather to compete for the title of World Champion Bodypainter.

Body painting is a form of expression used by people who like to be naked to communicate feelings and ideas about the human body by using the body itself as the canvas. Such ideas may sometimes be of a sexual nature, but that is only a small part of the possible range of thoughts that can be expressed. In fact, the expanded possibilities for self expression that are possible when one doesn’t wear clothes form one of the chief attractions of being naked for some people.

Only the best in their professions teach the classes. And because you never finish learning, the workshops offer possibilities not only for beginners, also for advanced artists to further their knowledge. Group arrangements for schools can be organized on request. There are a number of different contests (including a nighttime competition designed to showcase stunning UV effects) workshops, audience participation, music and performances and a massive fireworks show to enjoy

Creativity with proper identification

Body paints had been used in different purposes. For costumes, army camouflage, an intimidator (for athletes), fashion shows, and for promotional purposes.

The photo (above) of an Asian girl body painted in a “qípáo“ or a mandarin gown, (which by the way is one of the best “body paint” art I’ve seen so far) shows an example of a perfect body paint, matching the whole “Chinese” deigned theme with her Asian looks and semi-petite body figure, making it look like as if she was wearing a real “qípáo” as the dragon figure perfectly covers her breasts’ figure making it look sexy, but in an artistic way. Truly a work of art.

Body Painting combines creativity with the proper identification of ones natural body figures to envision, and apply a design that would perfectly compliment the whole art and the body itself.

Bodypainting a sensual art-3

Body Painting is an Art...!

Many artists work professionally as body painters across the world. Their work is seen regularly in television commercials, such as the Natrel Plus campaign featuring models camouflaged as trees. Body painters also work frequently in the film arena especially in science fiction with more and more elaborate alien creations being body painted. Stills advertising also used body painting with hundreds of body painting looks on the pages of the world's magazines every year.

Body art today evolves to the works more directed towards personal mythologies.
